With the increasing complexity of treatment regimens, the role of the patient in this process becomes more significant. The more treatment options there are, the more important it is to understand which aspects are most crucial for a specific patient. I participate in the Mammologicum project to provide as many people as possible with the opportunity to understand their diagnosis and the treatment options that are most suitable for them.

Genetic Specialist, Partner at Gemeinschaftspraxis für Humangenetik & Genetische Labore since 2002.

Hereditary predisposition to breast cancer significantly affects recommendations for screening and monitoring high-risk women. However, in addition to a strong family history, mutations in genes can also play a role. There are clear clinical recommendations for such cases that significantly increase a patient's chances of recovery. Therefore, it is crucial to understand your diagnosis, and I am ready to assist you with the necessary information.

Mental health is often overlooked in the therapeutic concepts for oncology patients in the CIS countries, while physical health and mental well-being are closely interconnected. How to learn to live without fear, how to communicate with loved ones, what to do with your soul? I would like to help course participants find answers to these and many other questions posed by their diagnosis.

Understanding the language of pathology means speaking the same language as doctors. In the Mammologicum Patient School, I will help you grasp its fundamentals and learn to see a pathological report not as a collection of unintelligible abbreviations but as a diagnosis and a path to recovery.
